A special congratulations to our college transition coaches (CTCs) graduating from college!
All of us at Student Leadership Network would like to extend a special congratulations to our very own college transitions coaches who are reaching their own milestone – college graduation! CTCs provide crucial peer support to our CBI students and guidance in transitioning from high school to college. Thank you for all that you do, CTCs, and congratulations on your graduation!

Kelvin – Bronx Envision Academy
Heading to Lehigh University
Kelvin’s advice to rising seniors:
“I want to tell rising seniors to start researching colleges that will fit them academically and financially. There is nothing such as starting too early. If it’s possible they should take the summer before senior year to write their college essay. Having the luxury of knowing about the different colleges you want to attend will save you time that would have been used for researching. Being able to manage your time is critical during senior year. Successfully balancing the multiple college writing supplements with school work will allow you to be less stressed and a successful student.”

Shania – In-Tech Academy School for Applied Global Tech
Heading to St. John’s University
Shania’s advice to rising seniors:
“Stay positive. Even when you feel like giving up ‘because it’s senior year,’ don’t. Cross the finish line strong. And just because one college doesn’t accept you remember there are better ones out there for you.”
