Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

On this day we honor and celebrate the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a man who was instrumental in the fight for equity and civil rights for all Americans. As the social and economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic continue to disproportionately affect the communities we serve, Student Leadership Network students and alumni continue to live by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy of integrity and leadership. They remain focused on achieving their educational goals and are going on to trailblaze for representation and inclusion in their local communities and across the nation.

Intelligence plus character - the's the goal of true education." The quote is placed on top of a faded photo of students participating in a climate change demonstration.

For over 25 years, Student Leadership Network has been working to equalize education for students regardless of race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. Today, and every day, we are proud to embody Dr. King’s commitment to equality and continue to support even more young people to obtain access to higher education and achieve their dreams.

Always my best,
