Purlie Victorious Broadway Outing and Cast Talkback

Lights, curtains, and action! Students from all six of The Young Women’s Leadership Schools (TYWLS) attended two performances of Broadway’s revival of “Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch.” The critically acclaimed comedy stars TYWLS alumna and two-time Tony award nominee Kara Young, who kindly shared her time to sign autographs and take photos with our students. The cast, including her co-star Leslie Odom, Jr., hosted a post-show talkback.

Many thanks to the entire cast and crew for sharing the magic of theater with our students and creating an unforgettable Broadway experience! Special thanks to Student Leadership Network Board member, Debra Lewin, for facilitating this opportunity, and to Regina Productions and Broadway Inbound for securing the tickets.
