Spring Update from the CEO
With your continued support and dedication, we are well-positioned to expand our impact on the students and communities we serve.
Last month, we welcomed Kathy Leventhal and Angela Nimoh to the Student Leadership Network Board of Directors. Both Kathy and Angela’s experience, valuable insight, and perspectives are a welcome addition to our team!

Our third annual WholeGirl+ Education National Conference, themed “Future Pathways: Educating Girls+ in the Next Digital Age,” is underway—a testament to our commitment to preparing students for an increasingly digital future. This conference is the realization of our goal to be the leader in amplifying and supporting the work of all girls’ public schools across the country.
Excitedly, our college access work continues to yield impressive results, with 11 seniors selected as QuestBridge scholarship recipients and five awarded Posse Scholarships. These highly competitive programs provide full-tuition scholarships and additional college transition support. We are incredibly proud of our students! Over 48% of our seniors have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to date, surpassing the national rate of 23%. FAFSA completion is strongly associated with college enrollment, and these completion rates demonstrate the effectiveness of our proven CollegeBound Initiative model. Moreover, the expansion of our Buffalo operations to serve a seventh district high school reflects our growing impact and the scalability of our approach.

We continue to provide important support to our affiliate schools, as evidenced by our enhanced work with new leadership teams in Baltimore and Las Vegas and our unwavering support of our Girls Academic Leadership Academy school community impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. These moments remind us of the vulnerability and resilience of our school communities and the importance of our work.
Your continued partnership makes our work possible, and we look forward to sharing more news about our progress.
Always my best,

Yolonda Marshall
